Que tipos de frases vas a encontrar: Present Simple, Present Continous y Present Perfect
We use present simple to talk about routines, facts or regular actions.
Example: I go to dance classes twice a week
We use auxiliares to make or answer questions. In present simple the auxiliar is do/does -Voy a fingir que vos ya debes saber cual le corresponde a cual.
Examples: Do you get up early? Yes I do/No I don't - Does she work at the ice cream shop? Yes she does/ No she doesn't
When it is she, he or it we add -es (if the verb ends in: ch, sh, ss, o+consonant or x), -ies (if the verb ends with -y+consonant (we replace the y with the i)) or s (rest of the verbs).
Examples: He studies at 10.00am - She goes to school at 6.40am - Whenever it appears, it walks in that direction.
We use present continous to talk about actions that are happening at the moment and events are going to 100% happen in the future (leer en el apartado de Future).
Example: Right now, I'm writing this :>
In present continous, the auxiliar is the Verb Be (Am/Are/Is)
Examples: Am I doing my homework? No you aren't - Is she listening music? Yes she is
We just add -ing and we must use the verb be. And if the verb ends with -e, we change it for -ing.
Examples: They are studying - He isn't living in USA
We use present perfect to talk about experience in someone's life and don't say when it happened. Usually, those actions that occurred in the past that have direct relevance to the present moment or that continue to happen.
Example: I have been in my english classes and, when I came back, I have the idea to do this.
In present perfect, the auxiliar is have/has
Examples: Have you been in a competition? Yes I have (actually, in 8) - Has she sang in public? No she hasn't
If they are regular, we use them in past simple. But, if they are irregular, we use them in past past participle
